Alexander Winge has announced that he will not stand for re-election as president of the Nordic Youth Council (UNR) and will therefore be stepping down at the end of the year. Winge has played an important role at a crucial time for the UNR, which became an independent organisation at the beginning of this year. Winge looks back on his time at the UNR:

„It has been two great years at the UNR, the last of which as president. During the year, the main focus has been on getting the new organisation up and running. At the same time, we have worked to spread the UNR’s representative duties among more members of the board than just the president. I therefore feel confident that I am handing over a healthy organisation that the next board can continue to develop and take to new heights,“ says Winge.

A new president will be elected on 26 October during UNR’s session in Stockholm. Winge looks forward to continuing to follow UNR’s work and is convinced that Nordic youth cooperation is more important than ever.
